Heritage Schools

The Heritage School Program provides credit towards graduation for world languages that are not currently taught at SRVUSD schools. SRVUSD will be working to expand the current course and language offerings.

  • In order to receive SRVUSD credit for a heritage language class, the class must be taken through one of our approved institutions.  Check back frequently as more institutions may be added.

  • The procedure for receiving SRVUSD credit for a Heritage School class is the same as receiving credit for any course taken outside of SRVUSD.  See the Non-District Course Page for more information.

  • A student cannot get credit for a Heritage School course that their home school offers (e.g. a student at DVHS cannot get credit for a Chinese course through Heritage School since Chinese is offered there).

  • Heritage School credits DO NOT count as part of the 40 outside credits that can go on the SRVUSD transcript
