The district participates in numerous teacher recruitment fairs (click link below) and will conduct screening interviews during its by-invitation-only "Job Fair" on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Candidates interested in being considered for available vacancies which occur for the 2018-19 school year must submit an online SRVUSD application through EdJoin with the following attachments:

  • Letter of Intent / Introduction
  • Current Resume
  • Three recent Letters of Recommendation (2 years or less preferred)
  • Copy of valid credential or letter verifying expected completion of program

Our jobs are divided into two categories: Certificated and Classified. 


Certificated employees are required to have a Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Certificated employees belong to the California Teachers Association (CTA) and include, teachers, speech therapists, school psychologists, nurses, and similar classifications.


Classified employees include clerical staff, instructional assistants, custodians, accounting personnel and similar classifications. Classified Employees are not required to have a teaching credential. 


We also have management, confidential and professional administrative employees. Some of these positions are Certificated and some are Classified. These employees do not belong to a union. They include Principals, Managers, Directors, Coordinators, Specialists, etc.

Screening interviews will be conducted on Saturday, April 14, 2018 for certificated applicants interested in being considered for positions in the 2018-19 school year. To be considered for a screening interview, candidates must submit an online application NOW through EdJoin for "Pool" postings for the 2018-19 school year. Applicants selected to interview will be invited to our job fair by email in late March or early April.


Screening Process:


  • Online EdJoin application packet is submitted between Monday, January 22, 2018 and Friday, March 16, 2018 to be considered for a screening interview at our Job Fair.

  • Applicants selected for a screening interview will be contacted by Human Resources by email and scheduled for an interview time. Candidates will be scheduled for interviews between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Successful applicants will be placed in an eligibility pool and considered as vacancies become available for 2018-19. Principals will review applications and select candidates from the pool for additional interview(s).

  • Applicants must either be fully credentialed, have completed credential requirements, or be intern eligible before the start of the 2018-19 school year.

  • Applicants must have an authorization to teach English learners or be eligible for such authorization before they commence employment.


Hiring Process From April Through Fall 2018:


  • Applications will be accepted for vacancies. Vacancies are posted on the district website and on Ed-Join.

  • Candidates with complete EdJoin applications will be contacted for a position interview.
