Registration and Policies

IMPORTANT: Registration Policies

Although some of our enrichment classes will have some academic basis, they will not be structured to provide remediation of any academic area. Therefore, students with "F" grades will not be recommended for Enrichment Summer School as a means of remediation.

First come, first served online Enrichment Program registration for residents within the San Ramon Valley Unified School District begins on March 28, 2012. Online Registration will continue, for all classes, on a space available basis unless posted otherwise on the Summer Enrichment welcome page.

Be sure of your summer plans before registering, no refunds will be given unless the district must cancel a class.

Foreign students - Before registering for a summer class, please email the summer school principals to get their approval to register. We do not do any refunds.

FEES

Credit Card Payments - Registration and materials fees must be paid in full at the time of online registration. We accept two major credit cards, Visa or MasterCard, on our secure online registration site. All returned credit card payments will be charged a $25.00 service fee, and all subsequent payments must be cash or Money Order.

Check payments – Registration and materials fees will be charged in full at the time of registration. To maintain your child's space in the class, your payment must be postmarked or delivered in person within 3 days of registration. Make your payment payable to "SRVUSD". Mail or deliver your payment to: SRVUSD, Ed Services Department, 699 Old Orchard Drive, CA 94526. All returned checks will be charged a $25.00 service fee, and all subsequent payments must be cash or Money Order.

Early Bird registration(March 28 – May 8) fees are discounted, and are available to all SRVUSD boundary area residents (even those attending private school) registering their children by May 8. 

Class Cancellations - A program/class may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Parents of affected students will be contacted and students will be offered an alternate class.  If no alternate class is available, a full refund will be provided.

Refunds - Due to scheduling of classes and hiring of teachers, refunds will not be issued unless the district must cancel a class.

Be sure of your summer plans before registering your child for any Summer Enrichment Program and be prepared to select alternate classes.  In the event of a documented unexpected emergency, the following policy applies –
 

  • March 28 – April 28
    Full refund, minus $25 processing fee per session cancelled
     
  • April 29 – May 28
    75% refund of the cancelled session
     
  • May 28 onwards
    No refunds

This policy applies to all class cancellations regardless of your original registration date. Please note that if you paid by credit card an additional charge will be applied by your credit card company.

Summer program fees are not refunded or prorated for days of classes missed due to illness or injury.

No refunds will be issued if a child is not registered for his/her grade appropriate class. An alternate class can be selected if space is available.

Wait Lists

- As classes begin to fill, students may be placed on a 'wait list'. Those entering their email address will receive an email after registering online. The email is an acknowledgment of registration. You will receive an email when your child is placed in a class. Sometimes, students will be placed in a newly opened class and you will be notified later the same day by email. Other times, a waiting list will remain until a sufficient number of students are on a waiting list to make a new class. Those without email will be contacted by phone if a student's status is 'wait list'.

It is the parent's or guardian's responsibility to check the email and notify the Enrichment Program Office with a reply to the email, if they do not want their child to remain on a wait list or when your child is moved from a wait list and placed in a class.

Non Residents

Nonresidents (students residing outside the SRVUSD boundaries) must wait until May 8th to register for the Enrichment courses.  The San Ramon Valley Unified School District reserves the right to give priority to resident participants who register before May 8th.
