When will I get training?

SRVUSD and Infinite Campus are using a Train-the-Trainer model along with a Just-in-Time training model.  Principals are asking staff members to be "Building Coaches" and  "Teacher Coaches"  for their school.  Starting February, 2010, the self-paced online access was opened to necessary personnel as prerequisites to Instructor-led training that is taking place at DVHS, Room 4211.  As the year progresses, all job positions that deal with student data will systematically be scheduled for trainings.  Click on your job title on the left of this screen to see the latest information about the trainings to be scheduled for you.

What kind of training will I receive?

Each workshop will include one or more of the following:
1.  Self-paced recorded sessions in Moodle (these sessions are prerequisites to workshops and are coded n RED).
2.  Live workshops led by Infinite Campus or SRVUSD trainers (these sessions are coded in GREEN).
3.  Live webinars led by Infinite Campus trainers (these sessions are coded in BLUE).
4.  Self-paced recorded sessions in Moodle PLUS live webinars (these sessions are coded in PURPLE).

What does "Self-Paced" mean?

The Infinite Campus training method includes online access to training modules.  These modules are accessed through a Moodle account with logins and passwords.  You will be notified by the Tech Dept via an Infinite Campus-related email (icu@infinitecampus.com) when your Moodle account is activated.  These 'self-paced' courses are accessible any time and anywhere you connect to the Internet.

What if I need a substitute while I am in training?

When possible, we are trying to schedule trainings at times when substitutes may not be needed, however when you do need one, the project will cover the cost.

What if I need a refresher training or more practice?

The Moodle-based courses can be repeated at will.  Webinars will be archived for repeated access.  We are planning to have drop-in hosted sessions through out the summer and in August for those who feel they want to practice using the system with a knowledgeable helper in the room.  Once you have access to the online training site, we recommend that you practice a little each week replicating the things you learned, and in very little time you will feel very comfortable using Infinite Campus.  We even send out periodic scavenger hunt and situational practices to you (with answers) to hone your skills!
